Path to Insure

Disclaimer

Last updated: July 12, 2026 Effective date: July 12, 2026

This is a compliance template pending attorney review. It is written to cover the required-content checklist for this document type in genuine, plain-language detail, but it is not final legal text and has not yet been reviewed or approved by a licensed attorney. See docs/deliverables/A13-legal.md for the full compliance package and review status. Do not rely on this page as binding legal advice.

This is the single most important page on this site to read carefully. It explains what Path to Insure is, what our content is (and isn't), and the specific limits of our calculators, comparison tools, and carrier reviews.

1. We are not an insurance company, agent, or broker

Path to Insure is not an insurance company, agent, broker, or producer. We do not sell, bind, issue, service, or adjust insurance policies. Nothing on this site should be understood as an offer to sell insurance, and using this site does not create an agency, advisory, or fiduciary relationship between you and Path to Insure.

2. Not insurance, financial, legal, or tax advice

Content on this site is for general informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute individualized insurance, financial, legal, tax, or medical advice. Your specific circumstances may differ from the general scenarios our content describes — consult a licensed insurance producer, financial advisor, attorney, tax professional, or physician, as applicable, before making a coverage or financial decision.

3. Calculators and comparisons are illustrative estimates only

Every number our calculators and comparison tools produce — premium ranges, savings estimates, coverage suggestions — is an illustrative estimate based on the methodology disclosed on that specific tool. It is not a quote, a bindable offer, or a guarantee of actual premium, eligibility, or coverage terms. Contact a carrier or licensed agent directly for an actual quote.

4. No guarantee of accuracy or completeness

We work hard to keep our content accurate, sourced, and current — see our Editorial Policyfor how. Even so, we don't guarantee that every page is complete, error-free, or up to date at the moment you read it, especially in categories where rules, rates, and programs change frequently. Verify anything time-sensitive or decision-critical directly with the carrier, agent, or regulator before acting on it.

5. Mentioning a carrier is not an endorsement

Mention or inclusion of any carrier or product on this site is not an endorsement of its suitability for you individually. What's right for one person's circumstances may not be right for another's.

6. Category-specific disclaimers

Medicare, health, disability, long-term care, and life insurance

Decisions in these categories can be time-sensitive and, in some cases, difficult or costly to reverse — for example, missing a Medicare enrollment window can trigger a late-enrollment penalty, and re-applying for life or long-term care coverage later may mean going through medical underwriting again. Path to Insure is not affiliated with or endorsed by Medicare, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), or any other federal government agency. For neutral, official guidance, contact 1-800-MEDICARE, your state's State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP), or the navigator directory at HealthCare.gov.

Workers' compensation, E&O, cyber, and commercial general liability

Business insurance needs are specific to your industry, size, and risk profile. Requirements also vary significantly by state and industry classification. Consult a licensed commercial-lines agent for guidance specific to your business.

Auto, home, renters, and other personal lines

Coverage minimums and requirements are set by state law and vary by state. Where relevant, our content links to state-specific pages rather than restating figures that change by jurisdiction — verify current minimums with your state's Department of Insurance.

Pet, travel, dental, vision, wedding, and event insurance

The general disclaimers on this page apply to these categories as well; no additional regulatory-escalation language is required for most content in this group. Note that dental or vision content specifically about coordinating with Medicare, or about what happens when you lose employer coverage, should be read with the same caution as the Medicare disclaimer above.

Claims guides

Path to Insure does not file, manage, negotiate, or guarantee the outcome of any insurance claim. Our claims content is educational only and is not a substitute for contacting your carrier, a claims adjuster, your state Department of Insurance, or a licensed attorney or public adjuster if you have a dispute.

Tax-related content

Content touching tax topics (for example, HSA/FSA calculators) is general education, not tax advice specific to your return. Consult a CPA, tax professional, or IRS.gov for authoritative guidance.

Carrier reviews

Our carrier reviews reflect our own editorial assessment, using a disclosed scoring methodology, at a specific point in time. A review is not a guarantee of a carrier's future performance, financial strength, or claims outcome for any individual policyholder.
