Path to Insure

Advertising Disclosure

Last updated: July 12, 2026 Effective date: July 12, 2026

This is a compliance template pending attorney review. It is written to cover the required-content checklist for this document type in genuine, plain-language detail, but it is not final legal text and has not yet been reviewed or approved by a licensed attorney. See docs/deliverables/A13-legal.md for the full compliance package and review status. Do not rely on this page as binding legal advice.

This page is distinct from our Affiliate Disclosure. It covers display advertising and any sponsored placements on the site, so you can always tell what's independent editorial content and what's paid.

1. Display advertising

Path to Insure shows display ads served by third-party advertising networks (for example, Google AdSense or a comparable contextual ad network). These ads are labeled by the network itself (typically “Ads by…” or similar), and the network, not Path to Insure, selects which ad is shown to you based on its own targeting. You can learn about and opt out of a given network's interest-based advertising through that network's own privacy tools — see our Cookie Policy for how ad-related cookies work here.

Display ads never appear inside, immediately next to, or overlapping a comparison-engine result, a calculator result, or an affiliate call-to-action button — we keep ad units and our own monetized CTAs visually separated so they're never confused with each other.

2. Sponsored listings

If a carrier or partner ever pays for enhanced placement within an otherwise-organic comparison table or list (for example, a “Featured Partner” badge), that listing carries a clear, legible label — “Sponsored,” “Featured Partner,” or “Paid Placement” — positioned directly on the listing itself, not in a legend elsewhere on the page, and never conveyed by color alone.

3. Sponsored / native content

If we ever publish content paid for by a carrier or brand, it carries an unmistakable “Sponsored” or “Paid Partnership” label at the very top of the piece, in the same visual weight as the headline. Sponsored content is still written and fact-checked to the same accuracy standard as our organic content — see our Editorial Policy — but it is never presented as independent editorial judgment.

4. Tracking used for advertising

Ad networks may use cookies or similar technologies to select and measure the ads shown to you. Full detail on what's used and how to control it is in our Cookie Policy, rather than duplicated here.
