Path to Insure

Accessibility Statement

Last updated: July 12, 2026 Effective date: July 12, 2026

This is a compliance template pending attorney review. It is written to cover the required-content checklist for this document type in genuine, plain-language detail, but it is not final legal text and has not yet been reviewed or approved by a licensed attorney. See docs/deliverables/A13-legal.md for the full compliance package and review status. Do not rely on this page as binding legal advice.

Path to Insure is committed to making pathtoinsure.com usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology. This statement describes our conformance target, known limitations, and how to reach us if something isn't working for you.

1. Conformance target

We design and build the site to conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, sitewide. This is our target and the standard we measure ourselves against — it is not a claim that every page has been independently audited and confirmed conformant at this moment. We do not overstate our conformance level beyond what our current audit evidence supports.

2. What we've done

  • Semantic HTML structure, heading hierarchy, and landmark regions throughout the site.
  • Keyboard-operable navigation, forms, calculators, and comparison tools.
  • Visible focus indicators and a logical, predictable tab order.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images and icons.
  • Color contrast checked against WCAG AA thresholds for text and interactive elements.
  • Descriptive link text and form labels rather than relying on placeholder text alone.
  • Responsive layouts that support browser zoom and text resizing without loss of content or function.

3. Known limitations

Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and some parts of the site may not yet fully meet our conformance target. Known limitation categories include:

  • Any comparison-engine or calculator component sourced from a third-party vendor may have accessibility characteristics outside our direct control; we evaluate vendor accessibility before adoption and press for fixes when gaps are found.
  • Older or long-form content published before an accessibility review may not yet reflect every current best practice; these pages are updated on our normal content refresh cycle.

We keep this list current and will update it as issues are identified and resolved rather than leaving it static.

4. Reporting an accessibility barrier

If you encounter a barrier using this site, please tell us. We want to know the page URL, what assistive technology or browser you were using, and what happened. Contact us at accessibility@pathtoinsure.com. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 5 business days and to provide a resolution timeline or workaround within 15 business days of acknowledgment.

5. Review cadence

This statement, and the underlying accessibility work it describes, is reviewed periodically, with the date of the most recent review shown at the top of this page. A new template page defaults to today's publish date until our first formal accessibility audit is complete; [date of last independent accessibility audit — pending first audit].
